Prince Street Gallery is pleased to present our first solo exhibition of artist Michael Walden’s new works.

Portraiture and still-life move from the confines of the artist’s studio into a bright gallery space breathing life into a city that is ready to live again. The works in this exhibition highlight a departure from Walden’s customary narrative and explore the observation and stillness between artist and subject.

Michael Walden is a painter and printmaker creating works that challenge the audience to take a profound journey through the exploration of painterly and printed surfaces. Narrative tensions of the figure within interior space, both physical and cerebral, are evocative and expressively mysterious. His works conjure personal narratives and reflections within the viewer.
